Os números confirmam que a matemática é essencial a um engenheiro. Resolver qualquer situação da primeira fase da construção do tabuleiro correspondeu à resolução de cerca de 80 mil equações, enquanto a segunda fase, mais pequena, implicou resolver 55 mil. Quando era preciso resolver em conjunto as duas fases, os sistemas chegavam a ter 135 mil equações.
